I am Loved

My Beloved lifts up his voice,
he says to me,
"Come then, my love,
my lovely one, come.
For see, winter is past,
the rains are over and gone.
The flowers appear on the earth.
The season of glad songs has come."

Song of Songs 2:10-12

Solomon writes of the love of God in all its spontaneity, beauty, power, and exclusiveness. God is calling me out into a new season of joy.

As impossible as it sounds, I am God's beloved. He is calling me out of the winter of my past. The rains have gone, the fragrant flowers are blooming, the season of gladness, my gladness, has come. Oh happy day!
