He is Alive!

And he said to them, ‘Go out to the whole world; proclaim the Good News to all creation.’
Mk.16:15

Mark's Gospel summarises how the news of Jesus' resurrection spread. First it was told to Mary of Magdala, she told the disciples who didn't believe despite two of them meeting Jesus on the road. Finally Jesus told the disciples himself and then commissioned them to go tell the whole of creation. The Church has been doing that ever since.

Proclaim the Good News. So, what is the Good News? Simple, Christ died for our sins, was buried then after three days rose from the dead.  This fact gives the seal of authority on everything Jesus said and promised. No wonder the Church says Easter is a day so big it takes eight days to celebrate its fullness. 

Alleluia! Christ is risen he's risen indeed! This is the day the Lord has made. Let us rejoice and be glad in it.
