Saint Paul tells the Church of Corinth his message of the good news about Jesus has nothing to do with human wisdom but everything to do with the power of the Holy Spirit.
It's night two of Alpha tonight. The topic is "Who is Jesus?". We are relying totally on the Holy Spirit to make the guests hearts receptive to the Good News about Jesus and what he has done. This is so their faith "should not depend on human philosophy but on the power of God."
Holy Spirit, be with us tonight as the Good News of who Jesus is is proclaimed.
