Today's gospel acclamation proclaims an Advent cry. Jesus is coming! Be ready for him, the prince of peace.
Jesus is coming, be excited! This is the source of my joy. Yes, I celebrate his birth, but it's his second coming that pops my cork. Maybe next year, maybe this week, maybe today, as long as I'm ready it doesn't really matter when. Advent helps me get ready.
Lord Jesus, your peace is needed so much in our world, in my world. Come Lord Jesus, come.
