Friday 4th April 2008 - Second week of Eastertide.
SCRIPTURE
They preached every day both in the Temple and in private houses, and their proclamation of the Good News of Christ Jesus was never interrupted.
Acts.3:36
OBSERVATION
The Apostles have been flogged and warned not to continue speaking the name of Jesus. The result? ...they continue speaking the name of Jesus uninterrupted.
APPLICATION
The Holy Spirit has taken a grip of these guys and there is no stopping them. Even persecution and humiliation for the sake of Jesus is received as an honour and fuels their zeal.
Am I this hot for Jesus? Is my first love for Him just a distant memory? It has no reason to be. The Good News of Jesus is just as needed, just as exciting, just as life changing as it was nineteen years ago, as it was two thousand years ago! It's time to fan the flame!
PRAYER
Come Holy Spirit, let the fire burn!
